The other day, as I was driving home from work, the memory of something bad I had done many years ago came to mind. I reminded myself that I was very sorry for what had happened and that I had repented. Immediately, a warm feeling of love and acceptance entered my mind. No need to be haunted by the past. Truly, I am forgiven.
Oddly enough, I then remembered that the side of the bicarbonate of soda carton urged one to dissolve a teaspoon in a glass and water and drink for “that burp of relief.”
It’s the same thing. We sin, we are sorry and repent, and we are forgiven for “that burp of relief.” God is our potion. Have faith.
